Several companies and organizations will officially sponsor the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. McDonald’s will serve as the official host Country Partner, while Samsung is the Official Technology Sponsor. Coca-Cola, Visa, Hyundai, Adidas, L’Oreal, and Sony are some of the Official Sponsors of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Qatar is known for its luxurious lifestyle and has been trying to attract more international tourists to its country to improve its economy. The Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup is seen as a way to promote Qatar as a tourist destination and help improve the country’s image.

The Stadiums That Will Be Used for The Qatar 2022 World Cup

The Qatar 2022 World Cup stadiums were officially announced on October 6, 2017. The 12 stadiums that will be used in the tournament are located in six different countries: Al-Arabiya Stadium in Doha, Esportif Park in Lusaka, Jalalabad Stadium in Jalalabad, King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Mahara Nation Stadium in Doha, Muammar Gaddafi Stadium in Tripoli, Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, and Volgograd Arena in Volgograd.

Of the 12 stadiums used for the Qatar World Cup, nine have previously been used for major international tournaments. Al-Arabiya Stadium has previously held the 2006 FIFA World Cup final match between Germany and Spain and the 2013 Confederations Cup final match between Brazil and Spain. Export Park was previously used for matches of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2007 CAF Champions League Final. Jalalabad Stadium has also been used for the AFC Asian Cup 2002 and the final match of the 2001 SAFF Championship. King Fahd International Stadium was one of two stadiums used during both stages of the 2002 FIFA World Cup; it hosted Group A and the Round of 16 matches between France and Portugal. Mahara Nation Stadium was also one of two venues used during both stages of2002 FIFA World Cup; it hosted Group A matches as well as a quarterfinal match.

The Tournament Schedule

The FIFA World Cup in Qatar will take place from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The 16 teams participating in the tournament were announced on 2 December 2010. 

Qatar is hosting the World Cup for the first time, which will be the Middle East’s first World Cup finals. FIFA released the provisional list of venues on 25 October 2009. It included 12 stadiums – Al-Rayyan Stadium, Al Wakrah Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, Lusail Stadium, Mohammed bin Rashid Stadium, National Stadium (Al Sadd), Nasrallah Sports Complex, Qatar SC Stadium, Al Rayyan Sports City (Al Rayyan), Sheikh Jassim Bin Jaber al-Thani Stadium (Umm Salal), Sheikh Jassim Bin Jaber al-Thani Sports City (Lekhwiya). Sixteen cities around Qatar are also being considered as possible host cities for matches during the World Cup: Doha; Al Wakrah; Abu Dhabi; Dubai; Doha again; Khartoum; Muscat, Oman; Cairo; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Amman, Jordan; Beirut

If you are interested in volunteering for the FIFA World Cup, you can apply online at or by mailing a completed application to The Qatar 2022 Committee, c/o Qatar Overseas Marketing Corporation, P.O. Box 4993 Doha, Qatar.

Requirements for volunteers include:

-A valid passport

-Be at least 18 years old

-Have a clean criminal record

-Be medically fit and able to work long hours

Volunteers must also pass a security check and be committed to supporting the event.
