Launching a project:
Commissioning is usually a verification process that ensures that the contractor designs, configures and delivers a project according to the owner’s requirements. Signing the agreement:
Once a bid has been placed, and a contractor has been selected to take over the project, they submit a set of contract documents to the employer to seal the job. This agreement attaches to the bidding documents, which also acts as a legal agreement between the project owner and the contractor.
Construction and task management:
During the construction or implementation phase, the contractor oversees the operation in accordance with construction documents. Throughout this process, the contractor engages in careful cost control, compares construction projects to actual work, and makes sure the project is on time. Closeout and completion:
At this final stage of the project, the general contractor will request a final inspection from the architect and owner. The contractor will provide a cartoon list document during the inspection so that the architect and owner can list all the incomplete works or items that need to be corrected before closing. Once all items on the cartoon list are completed, the architect can now issue a certificate of final completion, and the contractor is now responsible for receiving the full payment as agreed.
